Occupational Therapy Services

Our occupational therapists are dedicated to preserving a resident's independence in his or her activities of daily living.  This may range from social and leisure, or work-related activities to personal hygiene and self-care.  The daily acts of grooming, dressing, bathing, feeding, and other acts that require the use of fine motor skills may be addressed by an occupational therapy program.  An occupational therapist may also create a treatment program to target cognitive re-training.  This involves addressing deficits in such areas as problem solving, memory, and ability to task that may negatively impact safety and independence.
